Enhancing the Links is a seminar for school staff and service providers working for people with disability. The seminar will focus on the transition of students and the various post school pathways they may wish to take. Presentations and

Up-to-date information will be provided from the National Disability Insurance Agency, Job Access, NSW Training Services, tertiary and vocational education providers, Department of Social Services, Australian Network on Disability, Job Access, and the NDCO.  The event will provide excellent networking opportunities, as it will be attended by teachers; career advisers; other school staff; government providers; non-government services (including Disability Employment Service providers); and anyone else who supports students and people with disability in their transition planning.

 

Enhancing the Links is coordinated by the National Disability Coordination Officer Program in the South-Western and Western Sydney regions. The NDCO Program is funded by the Federal Department of Education and Training and is aimed at working with stakeholders at the local level to reduce systemic barriers, facilitate smooth transitions, build links and coordinate services between the education, training and employment sectors. https://www.education.gov.au/national-disability-coordination-officer-programme
