Mind Blank is on the lookout for actors, facilitators, writers, storytellers, and improvisation artists to join our dynamic Creative Team based in and around Darwin, NT. 

We’re a not-for-profit organisation working at the intersection of mental health education, creativity, and community empowerment. Through interactive performances and storytelling, we open conversations with young people, workplaces, and communities about mental health and wellbeing.

About the Role

You’ll work as part of a professional creative team delivering interactive performances and mental health workshops to young people and adults. You might play a character, co-develop a workshop, facilitate group conversations, or help shape new storytelling projects. 

This is a casual contractor role, suitable for those able to play 15-30 year olds (due to character casting needs) who can be available for short bursts of work throughout the year. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate on the creation and delivery of theatre-based programs. 
  • Perform or facilitate highly engaging sessions. 
  • Participate in rehearsals, training, and wellness sessions. 
  • Respond to audience questions and feedback after shows. 
  • Be adaptable and open to diverse roles within the team. 

 

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You: 

  • Are a strong communicator with high emotional intelligence. 
  • Have a creative spark—whether in performance, storytelling, writing, or facilitation. 
  • Are reliable, professional, and values-driven. 
  • Bring an open mind and willingness to learn. 
  • Have experience or studies in the arts, education, health, youth work, or related fields (not essential but a bonus). 
  • Are energetic, resilient, and love working collaboratively.
