What You'll Be Doing:

Prepare yourself for an unforgettable adventure!

The Mind Blank creative team will be touring Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine, and Nhulunbuy in collaboration with Carers NT. Carers NT supports Carers, individuals who provide unpaid personal care, support & assistance to family members and/or friends who have a disability; chronic, mental or terminal illness; a substance abuse issue; or who are frail or aged.

Your role will be to serve as an actor and storyteller during Mind Blank workshops showcasing carers’ lived experience. This live show format will be fun and interactive.

There will be a lot of travel on tour. This means you will be on the road and taking small planes to some of the most remote and special parts of the Northern Territory.

You will spend time outdoors on country working alongside a remarkable team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The major objectives for the Creative Team roles are to:

  • Workshop creative scripts and new projects (ensemble effort)
  • Deliver early intervention programs
  • Assist in handling performance enquiries after a show
  • Attend rehearsals and training
  • Self-evaluate effectiveness against your own job description
  • Project admin team efforts are required when nominated

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Creative acting talent and storytelling

  • Ability and desire to take on a variety of tasks (in addition to acting responsibilities)

  • Highly focused and energetic manner

  • An open mind

  • Resilience and the ability to handle unexpected change

  • A personal and professional standard to which you hold yourself accountable

  • A relevant qualification or currently studying (e.g. Arts education, health, etc.)

  • Goals you are driven to achieve

  • The ability to work independently and be trustworthy
